Feedback is a Gift

In this article:
We hope you enjoyed a fantastic Christmas break with your loved ones and had the opportunity to focus on the things that matter most for a few days. Some things will always be more important than your Bitcoin stack.
We also hope you managed to orange pill even the most stubborn Bitcoin critics in your family this year. Just don’t take it to heart if they all became gold bugs recently instead.
They will be forced to zoom out sooner or later...

Either way, we hope your own knowledge of Bitcoin has allowed you to feel more secure about your financial future this Christmas, and more optimistic than ever as we head into 2026.
Bitcoin will continue to reward those who are patient and take the time to study it diligently. Armed with a low time preference, and Bitcoin in self-custody, time will always be on your side.

So, as the year draws to a close, let’s maintain some perspective by spending some time reflecting on what was an eventful 2025, and start looking ahead at what’s to come in 2026.
The Bitcoin Way: Pure Signal in 2025
2025 was a crazy year for Bitcoin. Mind you, that’s to be expected, since Bitcoin hasn’t had an uneventful year since its inception.
The most notable change this year was increasing political and institutional adoption. President Trump freed Ross Ulbricht and announced a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (along with launching his own shitcoin), Larry Fink’s BlackRock, along with a plethora of other financial giants, launched Bitcoin ETFs, and Michael Saylor’s Strategy managed to amass over 3% of the total Bitcoin supply, with a whole host of other Bitcoin treasury companies swimming like Gamora fish in their wake.
The suitcoiners and politicians arrived in their droves this year.

In all the excitement, Bitcoin breached new ATHs of over $120,000, and this cycle’s game of “I love Bitcoin, buy my shitcoin” erupted as compromised influenzas lured newcomers into a short-lived “Paper Bitcoin Summer.”
The clue was in the name, and a new generation of Bitcoiners is learning that those “toxic” Bitcoin maximalists were just trying to protect them.

As Bitcoin grows and the space gets noisier, it gets increasingly difficult to sort the good information from the bad. That’s why, throughout the year, we worked hard to filter out the noise and provide you with the highest-quality signal to keep you on the right track and avoid making any costly mistakes.
Let’s take a look back at our best-performing content this year:
Bitcoin Banter Highlights
Bitcoin Banter is our twice-weekly show where Tony, Michael, and Greer get together to dissect the trending, important, and often ridiculous news of the week. Some high-signal, light-hearted relief from the constant chaos served up by clown world.
If you haven’t seen the show yet, click the thumbnails to check out our three best-performing episodes from 2025:
EU Banning Bitcoin Wallets!? (Europe Is Cooked!)
In June, we covered the EU’s ridiculous proposals to regulate and ban “unregistered Bitcoin wallets” in their continued attempts to subjugate their citizens and had already started bringing attention to the savage injustice being faced by the Samourai devs.

Avoid This Bitcoin Hardware Wallet (Or Face the Consequences!)
In July, we were quick to jump on the latest scam targeting the beleaguered Ledger hardware wallet users and remind the community once again that not all hardware wallets are made equal.
We also discussed why it makes no sense that Michael Saylor’s Strategy won’t provide proof of reserves and started issuing early warnings that it might be time to get out of Australia. It looks increasingly like we might have been right on that one...

Did the Trump Admin Throw in the Towel on Bitcoin?!
I’m sure we can all recall the start of the year when everyone believed that the U.S. government was on the brink of turning on the money printers and buying Bitcoin hand over fist. It turns out people might have gotten a little ahead of themselves.
In September, we covered the Trump administration’s slow progress on buying Bitcoin, Jack Dorsey’s plan to manufacture mining chips in the U.S., and Jeff Bezos accepting Bitcoin for space travel.

If you want to stay up to date with the latest news and enjoy no-nonsense takes delivered with a good sense of humor, then you can find all our Bitcoin Banter episodes here.
